Description:
The
New York Harbor Observing and Prediction System (NYHOPS) was designed and
installed by the
Center for Maritime Systems at Stevens Insitute of Technology
to provide operations-critical
information to the Port of New York and New Jersey. The system was developed
with support from the Office of Naval Research and the State of New Jersey
Department of Transportation, and through continuing partnerships with NOAA,
the US Coast Guard, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the States
of New York and New Jersey, and several maritime industry participants.
