Description:
The North American Mesoscale Forecast System (NAM) is a regional mesoscale data assimilation and forecast model system operated by NCEP's Environmental Modeling Center and provides guidance to public and private sector meteorologists. For more information about this forecast product visit the National Weather Service Environmental Modeling Center website .
The NAM run makes forecasts for the full North American 12-km parent domain run to 84 hours and four one-way nested 3-km domains run to 60 hours.
