Description:
The Tampa Bay Operational Forecast System (TBOFS) was developed by the NOAA/National Ocean Service/Office of Coast Survey in a joint project with the NOAA/NOS/Center for Operational Oceanographic Products and Services (CO-OPS) and the NOAA/National Weather Service/National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) Central Operations (NCO) using Rutgers University's Regional Ocean Modeling System (ROMS). TBOFS generates water level, current, temperature and salinity nowcast and forecast guidance four times per day. For detailed model information, visit the NOAA CO-OPS model information page.

The latest forecast is an aggregated "best-time series", which includes output from approximately the last week of nowcasts plus the most recent 36 hour forecast (these are updated every 6 hours). Archived model output is available via the CO-OPS server.
